Slip from the Shadows

Slip From The Shadows is a collection of prose and poetry on the subject of transformation and loss. There comes a time when we must stare change in the face and like a butterfly, transform into beauty. Just as the butterfly goes through stages to release itself and spread its wings, we too must release in order to grow. This collection has been formed from my personal journey. May you glean from these pages help with yours.

Fishing for Water

Fishing For Water is my analogy of the quest for truth amidst the chaos in our world. I am a gatherer of information, ever searching for the deeper, hidden meanings of life. Once I discovered that our beings consist of more water than mass, I realized that my meditations had actually been drawn from the waters of the collective soul. Droplets of ancient wisdom long forgotten in the busy-ness of today's world. Inspiration, sparked once more by the cover artist, flowed from my pen. I dreamed of a quill pen turning into a peacock feather. The pen was dipping into the sea of consciousness, the truth that lies within the eyes of the storms we create on our horizons. The peacock is an ancient symbol for truth. It is a symbol for the Eye of Horus; lifting the veils of deception lurking beneath the waters of the collective mind. Enjoy your swim.  ©  June 2005
